Pay Range

USD $137,988.00 - USD $145,000.00 /Yr.

Overview

Navitus Health Solutions is seeking a Sr. Solutions Architect to join our IT Development department!

 

The Sr. Solutions Architect ensures efforts are in alignment with the IT FFS (Fee for Service) Medicaid Technology team to support customer-focused objectives and the IT Vision: a collaborative partner delivering innovative ideas, solutions, and services to simplify people’s lives. The Sr. Solutions Architect is responsible for driving the software architecture and platform of our AWS Cloud-based ecosystem. The Sr. Solutions Architect will define the technical end-to-end architectures needed to support the strategic direction of the FFS Medicaid line of business.

Responsibilities

How do I make an impact on my team?

  • Lead the architecture for the entire FFS Medicaid ecosystem. 
  • Design/manage an architecture roadmap to achieve alignment with the MITA (Medicaid Information Technology Architecture) framework, as defined by CMS (Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services) and required by state guidelines. 
  • Work with business teams to understand current processes to identify areas which could see process improvement through technology solutions. 
  • Bridge the clinical / analytic needs of our non-technical business staff with the IT and infrastructure subject matter experts and liaison to define cost-effective solutions that improve FFS Medicaid pharmacy benefit management functionality. 
  • Proactively conduct research into emerging technologies, trends, standards, and products. 
  • Collaborate with Enterprise Architecture and other Solution Architects across the organization to define and identify cross-functional solutions for integration with new or existing technologies. 
  • Participate in developing target state architectures. Ensure the new projects and enhancements to legacy solutions (where possible) working towards an enterprise architecture as opposed to a proliferation of point solutions. 
  • Drive new feature implementation by designing scalable design and guiding the team through implementation. 
  • Monitor and report to management on the status of project efforts, anticipating/identifying issues that inhibit the attainment of project goals and implementing corrective actions.

Qualifications

What our team expects from you?  

  • A four-year college or university degree typically in the field of Computer Science, Information Systems, or Software Engineering and/or a minimum of 10 years of work experience in the field of web development is required 
  • Demonstrable development and deployment experience with AWS core resources and services, utilizing CDK for deployment required. 
  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate or higher certification required. 
  • Accomplished skills in modern technology platforms and cloud technologies (such as Kubernetes, Dockers, Azure, Kafka, and/or Microservices) required 
  • Advanced development skills in multiple modern languages, including C#, React, and .NET Core required. 
  • Solid experience with DevOps processes and tools to build and deploy applications required. 
  • Demonstrated history of success designing complex web architectures required. 
  • Experience in developing high performance, scalable, and available applications required. 
  • Experience with responsive design required. 
  • Knowledge of automated testing and building required. 
  • Demonstrated understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) required. 
  • Established SQL database development skills including design, architecture, and performance required. 
  • Understanding of source code management using Git, TFS, or ADO required. 
  • Demonstrated experience collaborating with technical teams to analyze business requirements and develop technical specifications required. 
  • Experience guiding developers in implementing technical designs required. 
  • Proven ability to interview end-users for insight on functionality, interface, problems, and/or usability issues required. 
  • Participate in, adhere to, and support compliance program objectives 
  • The ability to consistently interact cooperatively and respectfully with other employees
