Pay Range

USD $120,525.00 - USD $150,656.00 /Yr.

Overview

Due to growth, we are adding Manager, Infusion Services to our Lumicera Pharmacy team 

 

Under general direction of the Vice President, Operations at Lumicera Health Services, the person employed as Manager, Infusion Services is responsible for directing the vision and overall strategy of Lumicera infusion services operations. The Manager is responsible for the creation and execution around strategies to create compliant, safe, and efficient infusion services operations including nursing coordination, inventory management, prescription fulfillment, and patient services.  Additionally, the Manager is responsible for ensuring appropriate staffing and training is provided to support operational redundancy and business continuity and fully maximize the staffing model. This position focuses on developing a culture focused on customer service excellence and patient safety. The Manager is responsible for ensuring that the infusion teams interfaces efficiently and effectively with the Clinical Services, Call Center, Patient Services, and Fulfillment departments as it relates to coordinated patient care efforts. As such, this position also will have responsibility to continually evaluate Lumicera pharmacies operational effectiveness cross functionally with other operations leaders and to develop and implement strategies in pursuit of operational excellence.  The Manager will recommend, develop, implement, monitor, and evaluate department goals, objectives, policies, and procedures related to the infusion department. The Manager is responsible for oversight of, and development and monitoring of pharmacy key performance indicators to meet organizational financial and service goals.

Responsibilities

How do I make an impact on my team?   

  • Creates, implements, and maintains Policies and Procedures related to Lumicera infusion services that ensure patient safety, regulatory, and compliance excellence. 
  • Oversees Lumicera infusion services operations directly or through a qualified individual with responsibility for policy implementation, patient satisfaction, and performance improvement. 
  • Directs, coordinates, and evaluates pharmacy staff and carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.  Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; succession planning; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. 
  • Collaborates with IT leadership to ensure necessary systems and applications are in place to support infusion operations and that all operational systems are continuously evaluated for proper operation, efficiency, and tracking/reporting capabilities.  
  • Manages reimbursement for products and services in compliance with company policy and goals, to include drug, supply, equipment, and nursing partner selection and utilization, and participates in the submission of clean claims through compliance to proper pharmacy billing procedures. 
  • Develops and implements continuous operational improvements focused on enhancing the level of patient care while optimizing the customer experience. 
  • Collaborates with leaders from across the organization to optimize processes to improve efficiency, safety, and patient experience.  
  • Monitors, evaluates, and reports pharmacy service KPIs to other Pharmacy Managers and Executive Leaders.  
  • Evaluates and communicates regarding the appropriateness and quality of drugs, supplies, equipment as well as other products and services selected for use by Lumicera.  
  • Other duties as assigned 

Qualifications

What our team expects from you?  

  • Graduate of ACPE Accreditation School of Pharmacy with a B.S. Pharmacy or Pharm.D, degree with current, unrestricted license required 
  • Current resident Pharmacist license with current, unrestricted license; must continually maintain education credits to maintain active licensure 
  • Minimum of five years as a licensed pharmacist preferred 
  • 4 - 5 years’ experience in infusion pharmacy preferred 
  • Previous supervisory experience preferred 
  • Managed care and/or PBM experience preferred 
  • Participate in, adhere to, and support compliance program objectives 
  • The ability to consistently interact cooperatively and respectfully with other employees
