Pay Range

USD $65,686.00 - USD $79,140.00 /Yr.

Overview

Due to growth, we are adding RN, Infusion Services to our Lumicera Pharmacy Madison department

 

The RN, Infusion Services is an active nurse who will be assisting in the management of day-to-day operations of the patient programs, communication with patient, caregivers, nursing agencies and physicians, and will work directly with the manager of pharmacy infusion services. As an RN, Infusion Services, this individual is responsible for providing contracted infusion nursing management, infusion skills oversight, and direct nursing care quality management in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of Lumicera. The RN, Infusion Services engages in continuous quality management and innovation with Lumicera staff and contracted nursing services and constantly communicates the status of patient services. This requires ongoing communication, teamwork, and participation with infusion staff. The RN, Infusion Services participates actively in program development and operational excellence to ensure patient satisfaction.

Responsibilities

How do I make an impact on my team? 

  • Directs and supervises contracted nurse scheduling, orientation, and validation of training when necessary. Oversees contracted nurse credentials and routine skills assessments. Resolves grievances and problems within position responsibilities
  • Manages timely field nurse visit reporting, report completion, and patient complaints
  • Ensures the patient – nurse experience is safe, efficient manner, and optimal
  • Collaborates with leadership on clinical, financial, and operational management of drug administration, and nursing program development
  • Monitors and supports key business outcomes to include adequate nurse staffing, service excellence, nurse performance, patient outcomes, and achievements of other goals as assigned
  • Accountable for identifying and reporting actual or potential nurse staffing inefficiency, communication with contracted agency leadership, and forecasting contracted nursing capacity, including identification of field nursing requirements
  • Collects data as required for quality management reporting
  • Educates staff, patients, and caregivers on home infusion nursing services and the services provided by contracted agencies. This includes written educational material that may also include illness, treatments, vascular access, and wellness behaviors
  • Ensures compliance with established policies, quality assurance programs, safety, and infection control policies and procedures
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

What our team expects from you?

  • BSN degree from an accredited school of nursing required
  • Current license as an RN in state of residence and willing to obtain additional state licensure if required
  • Current CRNI certification required. Completion of IgCP Certification is preferred
  • Knowledge of infusion/pharmacy medication order systems, infusion procedures and equipment, infusion products with focus on hemophilia and bleeding disorders products, and their uses and administration standards is required
  • Ability to read and interpret prescriptions required
  • Strong clinical background in infusion products required
  • Experience in home infusion delivery, set up, and process is preferred
  • Participate in, adhere to, and support compliance program objectives
  • The ability to consistently interact cooperatively and respectfully with other employees
