Pay Range

USD $58,460.48 - USD $70,434.31 /Yr.

Overview

Due to growth, we are adding a Analyst, Pharmacy Network Pricing to our Finance & Administration department

 

The Analyst, Pharmacy Network Pricing is responsible for financial price modeling of reimbursement systems and evaluation of provider networks. This includes obtaining, analyzing, integrating, and delivering claims utilization data and pharmacy provider data to supply financial analysis and operational support to the Navitus Sales, Client Services and Provider Services teams. The individual will be expected to understand and interpret data, including claims utilization from Navitus’ data warehouse and from NCRx, pharmacy network databases, NCPDP pharmacy files, Medi-span files, and other databases required from time-to-time to facilitate successful delivery of information for internal decision making and supporting customers’ data reporting requirements. The Analyst evaluates agreements with providers and prospective clients via financial price trend modeling, analysis, and reporting. This position is responsible for ensuring the timely, consistent, and accurate analysis of pharmacy contract terms and maintaining the sales database of both contracted and non-contracted providers for prospective sales opportunities.

Responsibilities

How do I make an impact on my team? 

  • Maintain and further develop the sales support mechanisms to provide network pricing for prospective clients during the RFP process. This will include geographical and provider/drug utilization impacts, generic dispensing rates, and mail service review
  • Continuously review and pro-actively identify areas of opportunities for pricing and discount performance improvement via analysis for sales opportunities
  • Research external and internal pricing trends and forecasts to contribute to overall pricing strategy
  • Monitoring of forecasted results as they compare to actuals
  • Monitoring, managing, and validating client performance guarantees
  • Analyze preferred pharmacy network pay-for-performance measurements for pharmacy contract performance and associated reimbursements
  • Perform analyses as requested by internal and external business owners, or in support of identified business objectives, with focus on pharmacy network access and discounts
  • Develop understanding of contractual terms and performance to assist in developing and enhancing network strategies, pricing decisions, and contract language
  • Responsible for the use of databases to generate reports for clients, pharmacies, and internal customers and identification of ways to improve and/or automate generation of these reports
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

What our team expects from you?

  • Bachelor's degree required with an emphasis in business, information systems, finance, statistics, mathematics, economics, or actuarial science preferred. Recent college graduates are encouraged to apply
  • Relevant experience with business, statistics, and analytical programs desired, but this is designated as an entry-level position
  • PBM, pharmacy, or related healthcare experience is a plus
  • Excellent verbal and written communication as well as strong organizational and multi-tasking skills
  • PC skills including Microsoft Excel, Access, and other applications as required
  • Participate in, adhere to, and support compliance program objectives
  • The ability to consistently interact cooperatively and respectfully with other employees
