Pay Range

USD $82,546.00 - USD $101,332.00 /Yr.

Overview

Due to growth, we are adding a Sr. Analyst, Data Governance to our Data department 

 

The Sr. Analyst, Data Governance role has a direct impact on maturing the organization forward; toward a data-driven culture.  The Sr. Analyst, Data Governance champions Enterprise Data Governance within the organization and is essential for helping define and execute a Data Strategy roadmap. This individual will support the development and execution of the data governance framework by partnering with Domain Owners and Data Stewards to organize data assets and train the organization to adopt data governance best practices. The Sr. Analyst, Data Governance works in close partnership with technology and senior leadership to actively support initiatives to implement Enterprise Data Governance framework and instill data-centric culture.

Responsibilities

How do I make an impact on my team? 

  • Assist with and facilitate enterprise-wide Data Governance program activities and collaborates on strategic initiatives for data governance, data quality and metadata activities
  • Supports Data Governance Council and Data Governance Committee, ensures execution of follow-up tasks assigned from the meetings, provides education and support for data governance across the organization
  • Accountable for the analysis, development, and build of an Enterprise Data Catalog while also building related data lineage to directly support privacy, security, legal, and audit initiatives
  • Designs and recommends data quality improvement opportunities
  • Works with the business to develop and publish KPI’s as it relates to data quality and integrity for accessibility across all business areas
  • Point of contact for and liaison between business Data Domain Owners, Data Stewards, and IT
  • Work with Domain Owners to establish, maintain, and distribute definitions of data elements used by Analytics in conjunction with Domain Owners throughout the organization
  • Leads analysis and remediation efforts for complex multi-domain data issues as identified by the business and Data Governance Committee
  • Mentors junior team members
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

What our team expects from you?

  • BA/BS with focus on business, economics, computer science, information management systems, mathematics, statistics or equivalent combined education and experience preferred
  • Preferred 5+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: data management, data governance, data quality or data analysis
  • Experience with a BI tools such as Tableau, Qlikview/QlikSense, SAS, Power B.I. or other Business Intelligence software and/or data visualization programs is preferred
  • Data querying tools such as SQL, Python or R is preferred
  • Prior experience with data catalog tools such as Alation or Collibra is preferred
  • An advanced ability to interact with various database and file storage systems (Oracle, NoSQL, etc)
  • Experience working in AWS/GCP cloud environments is a plus
  • Advanced level experience with spreadsheet tools such as Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets and Data visualization software such as Tableau, Qlik, or Power BI
  • Participate in, adhere to, and support compliance program objectives
  • The ability to consistently interact cooperatively and respectfully with other employees
