Overview

Navitus Health Solutions is seeking a Trainer, Prior Authorization to join our team! 

 

The Trainer, Prior Authorization Operations excels at collaborating across the organization to bring knowledge, exceptional service and build high engagement through onboarding and refresher training. This role develops and facilitates training through multiple channels and demonstrates culture and competencies for trainees so they in turn become strong performers within the Prior Authorization team and the organization. Trainer is adept at identifying training needs, creating interactive training, facilitating topics, evaluating effectiveness and retention of material, and constantly enhancing the training program.

Responsibilities

How do I make an impact on my team? 

  • Plan, create, develop, and facilitate onboarding and refresher training through various delivery channels to develop successful staff members who will deliver higher-than-average service expectations
  • Ensure resources are utilized efficiently including PA Launch House, NaviClaim, FBMS, Compass, PA Intel, phone technology and others
  • Collaborate with others across the organization and within Prior Authorization to ensure relevancy of material, identify trends and needs and assist in building foundation of quality service
  • Review, survey and evaluate trainees and overall team on knowledge retention, gaps and enhancements; incorporate and implement feedback into training program and Trainer’s personal growth
  • Accountable for quality metrics of trainees for up to one year after training and driver of new specialist success rate (reduce turnover) Leader in delivering quality service to internal and external customers
  • Provide training support to other areas within Prior Authorization including Medicare D, Clinical Prior Authorization, and Grievance and Appeals
  • Active learning in adult learning principles and training technologies
  • Flexibility to accommodate needs of a department with multiple locations
  • Travel may be up to 20%, dependent on training at other campuses
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

What our team expects from you?

  • College degree preferred
  • Deep knowledge of Prior Authorization functions with primary focus on Prior Authorization Operations; 2-years’ experience within Navitus Prior Authorization department, previous job experience as a successful Prior Authorization specialist or other experience in a quality-oriented position desired
  • Prefer a minimum of 1-year hands-on training experience in instructional design, course development and delivery, adult learning, and evaluation methodologies in a professional setting; experience with E-learning helpful
  • Intermediate to expert knowledge of MS Office Suite
  • Participate in, adhere to, and support compliance program objectives
  • The ability to consistently interact cooperatively and respectfully with other employees
