Overview

The VP, Enterprise Product Strategy and Development is a strategic leadership role responsible for shaping the enterprise-wide product roadmap, innovation agenda, and clinical solutions portfolio across pharmacy services. This executive will lead a multidisciplinary team in designing and launching differentiated offerings that improve clinical outcomes, optimize the cost of care, and enhance the member and provider experience.
The VP, Enterprise Product Strategy and Development, reporting to the Chief Growth Officer, is a member of the Operating Committee and is accountable for driving product strategies across the enterprise, including Navitus, its affiliates, and the vendor-managed products offered by Navitus that support business growth goals and visibility of our product portfolio. The position supports business development, sales, and demand creation, in addition to market research and competitive analysis, to define the vision and long-term roadmap for PBM and Specialty Pharmacy products and services, aligning with enterprise goals and evolving market dynamics. This role operates at the intersection of combined strategies related to Specialty Pharmacy, technology, and regulatory policy — with a focus on leveraging effective cross-functional partnerships, driving value through product alignment in formulary innovation, specialty drug management, digital engagement tools, and payer-provider-pharma collaboration to drive competitive advantage and enable successful marketing, implementing, and sustaining ongoing viable product offerings. As a people leader, the position is responsible for enabling a high-performing team, including talent development and management.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute the overall strategy for the Navitus enterprise product portfolio, including setting the vision, goals, and long-term roadmap for all products inclusive of Navitus affiliates in alignment with enterprise goals and evolving market dynamics.
• Collaborate with various stakeholders, including executives, product managers, technology, compliance, marketing, and sales teams, to develop a clear and compelling product vision aligning with the company’s strategic objectives.
• Ensure unified product governance, including vendor evaluation, project documentation, management and ownership, project design, user flows, functionality capture, revenue projection, and oversight.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather input, align product goals, develop efficacy measurements, and ensure the effective execution of the product strategy.
• Develop product roadmaps based on product vision and market research, including competitive intelligence, contractual requirements, and market dynamics. The roadmap will outline the strategic direction of the product, including feature prioritization, release timelines, and critical milestones.
• Continuously monitor the competitive landscape to identify potential threats and opportunities. Analyze competitors’ products, pricing, and positioning to make informed and unified decisions about product differentiation and how to deliver unique value to our customers.
• Conduct Market research to identify customer needs, trends, and opportunities. Analyze data, customer feedback, and industry reports to gain insights into the market dynamics and customer experience that align with the product and create value.
• Plan and execute product launches and go-to-market strategies, including pricing models, messaging, reselling, and positioning strategies. Facilitate implementation with applicable teams to ensure the product is effectively launched in the market and meets customer needs and enterprise objectives.
• Analyze data and business insights on product performance across the enterprise product portfolio, including key metrics such as user engagement, conversion rates, and customer satisfaction across Navitus and all affiliates. Analyze data and feedback to identify areas for improvement and make data-driven recommendations to optimize product strategies.
• Monitor product performance using various success metrics and KPIs. Gather feedback from customers and stakeholders to identify areas for continuous improvement and iterate on the product strategy as needed.
• Leading and directing clinical and non-clinical product strategists for SME articulation of product to support Sales and Implementation.
• Analyze market trends and customer behavior to adapt the product strategy to changing market conditions.
• Drive talent development and management to enable a high-performing team.
• Participate in, adhere to and support compliance and diversity, equity, and inclusion program objectives.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing or related field required.

 

Experience:
o 7-10 years of progressive experience in product development and/or strategy required.
o 3 years in the health plan, PBM, specialty pharmacy, or health care industry preferred.
o Proven experience in product strategy, development, and product portfolio management in the healthcare technology industry.
o Experience in buy vs. build analysis is a plus.
o Proven experience with general healthcare, clinical, and wellness products is preferred.
o Ability to demonstrate a strong track record of leading teams to deliver tangible results while working in a professional services environment.
o Experience directing and managing large projects is required.
