Pay Range

USD $90,593.00 - USD $111,157.00 /Yr.

STAR Bonus % (At Risk Maximum)

5.00 - Salaried Non-Management except pharmacists

Due to growth, we are adding a Government Relations & Advocacy Advisor to our team!

 

The Government Relations & Advocacy Advisor supports the execution of the organization’s government relations and advocacy activities by monitoring policy developments, preparing materials, coordinating outreach efforts, and assisting with stakeholder engagement. This position plays a critical role in advancing the organization’s policy priorities through high-impact content development, strategic communications, and rapid response advocacy execution This role will monitor trends in PBM and Drug Supply Chain messaging, develop responses and supporting materials, and drive outreach, advocacy strategy, and internal/external education. In close partnership with Government Relations leadership and the Marketing & Communications team, the Advisor ensures the organization maintains a consistent, credible, and differentiated voice across all external engagements, with particular emphasis on rapid response, message discipline, and industry leadership positioning.

Responsibilities

How do I make an impact on my team?   

  • Monitor and analyze policy developments and trends in PBM and drug supply chain environments to synthesize insights into actionable advocacy strategies and communication priorities.
  • Contribute to the development and execution of advocacy and outreach strategies aligned with organizational priorities.
  • Support stakeholder engagement efforts by coordinating outreach and fostering collaboration across internal and external partners. 
  • Actively participate in various trade associations where a LighthouseRx entity serves in various leadership capacities.
  • Engage directly with and serve as a primary liaison to internal and external marketing and communications partners to draft and support delivery of advocacy messaging, press statements, media responses, and public-facing communications related to legislative, strategic communications or regulatory developments.
  • Serve as a core contributor to rapid response efforts, developing timely statements, talking points, and briefing materials in response to emerging policy developments or external events.
  • Coordinate real-time messaging alignment across Government Relations, Communications, Legal, and executive stakeholders.
  • Apply a public relations mindset to all advocacy efforts by ensuring messaging is audience-specific, outcome-driven, consistent across platforms and touchpoints, aligned with brand positioning and reputational strategy, positions the organization as an industry leader in PBM transparency, affordability, and access.
  • Translate complex policy developments into clear business implications, executive summaries, and external talking points tailored to diverse audiences concerning legislation, proposed regulation, or other policy issues related to PBM, specialty pharmacy or the drug supply chain.
  • Summarize key insights and develop plans to support executive outreach, thought leadership, and advocacy initiatives identified by Government Relations with assurance that it reflects sound policy interpretation and risk awareness. 
  • Lead the development and lifecycle management of high-quality advocacy and thought leadership content, including blogs, legislative briefs, policy position statements, regulator-ready submissions and comment letters, trade association materials and industry white papers, as well as executive talking points, speeches, presentations, and client-facing education materials and advocacy toolkits.
  • Partner with Regulatory Analysts to identify and research legislative and regulatory issues impacting LighthouseRx entities, collaborate with Government Relations, internal subject matter experts, and external stakeholders to strategize on resolutions, and develop appropriate materials and translate findings into clear, practical insights regarding business impact.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

What our team expects from you?  

  • Bachelor’s degree required, with a preferred focus in business, public policy, communications, economics, pharmacy, or healthcare. A graduate degree in law, pharmacy, business, marketing, or public policy is preferred. 
  • 7+ years of work experience in Government Relations, Public Policy, or a related field, required.
  • Experience drafting position statements, advocacy drop sheets and materials, presentations, and speeches for complicated issues, required.
  • Experience in review and interpretation of complex legislation or regulatory guidance required.
  • Proven ability to manage end-to-end content development, from policy analysis through publication and stakeholder delivery, required
  • PBM, health insurance, or pharmaceutical experience highly preferred.
  • Participate in, adhere to, and support compliance program objectives.
  • The ability to consistently interact cooperatively and respectfully with other employees.
